Criminal Lawyers

Criminal lawyers are also sometimes referred to as defense lawyers or criminal defense lawyers. Generally speaking, criminal lawyers help clients who are accused of a crime, are witnesses to a crime, or who have been asked by prosecutors or law enforcement officers to provide information about something they are investigating, such as assault and battery, theft, marital abuse, drugs, or other crimes. Criminal lawyers may represent people in their communications with the prosecutors or law enforcement officers, or may represent people in court who have been accused of a crime.
